CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Caralarga pieces are handcrafted decorative textiles made with natural fibers, primarily cotton thread. Due to their artisanal nature, it is essential to follow these care instructions and recommendations to preserve their aesthetics and prolong their lifespan.
MAINTENANCE
DO NOT WET
Cotton thread should never be exposed to water. Contact with liquids can alter its stiffness, distort its natural drape, and produce unpleasant odors.
REGULAR SURFACE CLEANING
It is recommended to remove dust using a clean, dry cloth. A vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle can also be used, ensuring no direct contact with the threads.
BRUSHING
To prevent tangling or twisting, gently brush the piece using a wide-tooth comb or small brush, especially in dry climates or spaces with fluctuating temperatures.
PEST PREVENTION
As natural fibers, they may attract moths or insects. Keep the space clean, well-ventilated, and free of humidity. Do not apply chemical products or insecticides directly to the piece.
