INSPIRATION
We integrated a new design into our CARALARGA Mini collection: Tonatiuh, a piece inspired by the symbolic figure of the Toltec deity of the Sun of Movement, and whose name in Nahuatl means "the one who goes heating or illuminating".
The cotton loom is symmetrically divided into quadrants by a cross, where the representation of Tonatiuh is found. From its center, four diagonal rays of light, made with tassels and ties, extend to both sides, evoking the path the sun travels across the sky from east to west. The lower part of the "canvas" ends in a series of trimmed tufts of varying lengths.
